Interdisciplinary Informational Practices in the Context of Coronavirus (COVID-19): call for papers to the thematic dossier

The Journal AtoZ aims to provide a venue for promoting greater visibility for young researchers who normally face difficulties when attempting to publish their first article and/or works related to topics that have not yet been consolidated in traditional publication venues. Therefore, we invite researchers from different areas to share their knowledge about new practices on data, information and knowledge related to innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to submit their research to the thematic dossier “Interdisciplinary Informational Practices in the Context of Coronavirus (COVID-19)”, organized by professors Paula Carina de Araújo (UFPR) and Raimunda Hermelinda Maia Macena (UFC). The dossier will be published on volume 9, number 2, of 2020.
The COVID-19 pandemic context of last months has raised the discussion on different knowledge areas and different sectors of society. Information science, management and technology have a fundamental role in that context and the possibilities to develop interdisciplinary research and new practices are uncountable. Therfore, the dossier will approach the interdisciplinary informational practices in the context of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the following axes:
- interdisciplinary informational products and services to different publics (health professionals, community, etc.);
- the use of social media to share knowledge in the prevention of misinformation and COVID-19;
- interdisciplinary learning, information and strategy applied to education – offering training, legal and ethical approach on using educational data, applying learning analysis tools and their implementation;
- open science initiatives and/or open citizenship to strengthen the scientific collaboration and community involvement;
- qualitative analysis and open scientific data management for transparency and optimization of research and data reuse;
- knowledge discovery on databases;
- strategic perspective of information management, knowledge management and competitive intelligence in the prevention of the pandemic.
It will be accepted submissions of original articles, short papers and opinion papers written in Portuguese, Spanish or English of research related to one of the axes indicated above and that demonstrate an innovative approach and/or methodology.
