Abstract

The objective of this work was to evaluate the phenotypic adaptability and stability of precocious clones of sugarcane in 11 locations in the state of Paraná during three crop years (33 environments). The locations of the experiments were: Jandaia do Sul, São Pedro do Ivaí, São Tomé, Nova Londrina, Rondon, Jussara, Ibaití, Cidade Gaúcha, Bandeirantes, Paranavaí and lguatemi. Eighteen precocious RB clones and two standards varieties (RB855156 and RB855453) had been used. The plots were composed by four lines of 8 meters, spaced by 1.40 m; in a random block design with 3 repetitions. The variable used was tonnes of pol per hectare (TPH) and the method of evaluation of phenotypic adaptability and stability was by non-parametric analysis. The coefficient of genotypic determination for the evaluated character was of high magnitude (70%). Between the clones tested, the most adapted and stable were RB925211, RB946903 e RB956911 both to favorable and unfavorable environments. Some clones showed a specific adaptation to favorable or unfavorable environments.
