This research was carried out as part of a project to diagnose inventory management at OSDE BioCubaFarma, specifically at the company Laboratorios Farmacéuticos AICA. In the Cuban business framework, there is an underutilization of installed computer systems, deficiencies in the registration of information and use of classifiers and coders related to inventory management. The AICA company is not exempt from these problems; therefore, the general objective of the research is to improve the management of information related to inventory management, with a focus on enterprise architecture. To this end, the information management diagnostic procedure with a business information architecture approach was used, until the stage of presentation of solution proposals, and tools such as document analysis, bibliographic review, diagrams and patterns of the enterprise architecture. The main results were the presence of duplication of data in information entities and opportunities for automation of activities. As a solution, the implementation of barcodes and ERP system was proposed.
