Violência no namoro de adolescentes: explicação a partir das práticas educativas parentais e variáveis demográficas

Objetivou-se conhecer em que medida as práticas educativas parentais explicam a violência no namoro de adolescentes, controlando os efeitos das variáveis idade e sexo. Participaram 250 adolescentes, com idades entre 13 e 18 anos. Os resultados evidenciaram que na medida em que os jovens avançam na idade aumentam as chances de serem vítimas ou perpetradores de comportamentos violentos no namoro. Entretanto, as mulheres tendem a ser vítimas de violências verbal/emocional e física, enquanto os homens aparecem como os maiores perpetradores, sobretudo de violência física. Verificou-se ainda que as práticas parentais de rejeição podem levar os jovens a se envolvem em situações de violência no namoro, tanto na posição de vítima quanto de agressor. Assim, destaca-se a importância de desenvolver estratégias de prevenção à violência no namoro, principalmente em fases relacionais precoces. Além de estimular o uso de práticas parentais positivas e o estabelecimento de uma relação saudável com os filhos, permitindo que eles aprendam a adotar modelos positivos em seus futuros relacionamentos.
