This paper pursues a critical analysis of economic methods along the history of economic thought. It emphasizes the lines of continuity and rupture with regard to methodological views of different authors and schools of economic thought, while offering a general panorama and a critical analysis of particular methodological questions discussed along the history of economics as a science.
