AtoZ warns about the misuse of the journal's name for fraudulent article submissions

2026-04-02

The editorial team of the journal AtoZ – New Practices in Information and Knowledge, published by the Graduate Program in Information Management at the Federal University of Paraná, shares this official statement to alert everyone about fraudulent attempts involving improper invitations to submit manuscripts.

According to the journal, no email invitations are sent requesting article submissions, and no article processing or publication fees are charged. Any message with such content should be considered suspicious and disregarded.

AtoZ emphasizes that the only official email communication channel is revistaatoz@ufpr.br, which is used exclusively for contact with readers, authors, and reviewers. Messages sent from any other address do not represent the journal.

Furthermore, the editorial team highlights that the only official website of AtoZ is https://revistas.ufpr.br/atoz. Any alternative page—especially those containing links redirecting to the journal’s collection in indexing databases, mimicking the layout, or requesting personal data and submissions—should be treated as fraudulent.

Readers, authors, and reviewers are advised to always verify the authenticity of communication channels before engaging, thereby contributing to the security of scholarly communication and the integrity of the editorial process.
