Agente conversacional para auxiliar en la resolución de problemas de Matemática

Abstract

Ante un creciente interés en identificar usos potenciales de herramientas basadas en Inteligencia Artificial (IA) en el ámbito educativo surge la necesidad de proponer soluciones enfocadas a mejorar los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje. La utilización de agentes conversacionales se presenta entonces como posible respuesta. El presente estudio persigue el objetivo de desarrollar un agente conversacional (AC) basado en IA cuya función es asistir a estudiantes de magisterio  en la resolución de un problema de matemática. Como metodología, se diseñó un experimento para poner a prueba la capacidad del AC de asistir a los estudiantes durante la etapa de resolución del problema y se contrastan los resultados de dos grupos de alumnos: con y sin acceso al AC. Se identifican algunos indicadores alentadores en relación al potencial de los AC como asistentes virtuales al momento de resolver problemas de matemática.
