Abstract

Um layout de fábrica bem definido é de extrema importância para uma empresa, pois além de evitar problemas durante a cadeia de produção ele também serve como ferramenta para a redução de custos na fábrica (PEMBERTON, 1987). O presente artigo traz um estudo de melhoria de arranjo de fábrica através da metodologia SLP simplificada em uma indústria de pequeno porte que fabrica temperos e outros produtos alimentícios.  Utilizou-se a metodologia de pesquisa ação com abordagem qualitativa e a empresa em questão a pesar de contribuir com todos os dados necessários para a pesquisa preferiu a discrição quanto ao seu nome no presente trabalho. Aplicou-se as seis ferramentas do SLP Simplificado (Diagrama de Relações, Tabela de áreas e Necessidades, Diagrama de Inter-relações, Proposta de Arranjo Prévios, Avaliação dos Arranjos e Proposta de Layout final). Para a finalização do estudo foi feito uma apresentação aos colaboradores da empresa descrevendo brevemente a metodologia e resultados obtidos e nessa reunião além de feedbacks positivos a empresa se comprometeu a utilizar o layout proposto para sua ampliação.
