Abstract

El Paraguay ha mostrado un crecimiento económico importante en la última década, el cual no se ha filtrado a la población general ya que se ha basado en actividades agropecuarias de bajo valor agregado. Sin embargo, el país cuenta con grandes ventajas que se podrían utilizar para fomentar el crecimiento económico. Ante este escenario se ha instalado la pregunta de ¿cómo invertir de manera eficiente los recursos limitados para lograr un desarrollo económico sustentable? Este trabajo propone combinar los métodos del Espacio Producto (EP) y de Proceso Analítico Jerárquico (AHP), para realizar un análisis y una selección de los sectores productivos con el fin de lograr una economía más compleja. Se realizó un análisis combinado EP-AHP y se obtuvo como resultado que se deben impulsar las industrias de la madera, del plástico y del vidrio en ese orden con el fin de lograr una economía más compleja y sustentable.
