The text proposes a reflection about the role of women and their relationships within the trajectory of musical production and taste in light of some Jean Baudrillard’s ideas. According to the French philosopher there would be a feminine continuity and a male intermittence which would assure women an undoubted superiority to the level of representation and enjoyment, essential dimension of the contemporary society which infuses an abundant energy into desire. The text explores the taste category interfacing with the trajectory of the forms of musical enjoyment and with the common sense which clearly distinguishes the sexual differences between men and women. But the psychological differences wouldn’t be as obvious as the sexual, having in mind that they are visited by ghosts of mystification or qualified by historical and social conditioning.
