ESTUDO DO ASSOREAMENTO DO RESERVATÓRIO DA BARRAGEM DO RIO PASSAÚNA - CURITIBA - PR

Resumo

O reservatório da barragem do rio Passaúna situa-se nos municípios de Curitiba e Araucária, no compartimento geomorfológico denominado Primeiro Planalto Paranaense. A pesquisa visou caracterizar o assoreamento ocorrido no reservatório, que é utilizado para abastecimento público de água. Para avaliação do potencial erosivo foi gerado um mapa para a bacia hidrográfica com base em parâmetros de clima, geologia, geomorfologia, pedologia, uso e ocupação do solo. Esses fatores, sucessivamente integrados, possibilitaram discriminar as áreas em classes de diferentes potenciais erosivos. A área do reservatório também foi objeto de investigações diretas, com análise do material depositado no lago. No período entre seu enchimento em 09/ 1990 e a amostragem em 11/2002, registraram taxas de assoreamento entre 0,66 a 3,04 cm/ano. Na área do entorno do reservatório foram identificadas fontes de produção de material sedimentar. Através do imageamento do fundo do reservatório verificou-se a ocorrência de assoreamento em vários pontos no antigo canal principal do rio Passaúna e na foz de tributários. As condições urbanísticas existentes no ano de 1991, comparadas ao ano de 2002, indicam que houve degeneração para situações mais críticas, relacionadas com o tipo de uso e ocupação, sobretudo pela intensificação das áreas com urbanização, e condições deficitárias de infra-estrutura de saneamento urbano. Os resultados permitiram caracterizar o assoreamento, identificar áreas-fonte e indicar medidas de mitigação, visando reduzir o processo erosivo da bacia hidrográfica e o assoreamento do reservatório.

THE STUDY OF PASSAÚNAS RIVER BARRAGE WITH ITS RESERVOIR SEDIMENTATION, CURITIBA (PR)

Abstract

The reservoir of the river Passaúnas barrage is located in cities of Curitiba and Araucária, within geomorfologic compartment named Paranaense First Plateaus. The research aimed at characterizing the silting occured in the reservoir, which is used for public supplying of water. In order to evaluate the erosive potencial, it was created a map to the hydrografic basin based on parameters of climate, geology, geomorfologic, pedology, use and occupation of the soil. These factors, successively integrated, made possible the discrimination 07 areas in classes of different erosive potential. The area of the reservoir was also directly investigated, with analyzis of the deposited material in the lake. At the period between its wadding in 09/1990 and the sampling in 11/2002, it was registered silting taxes between 0,66 to 3,04 cm/ano. In the area around the reservoir, there were sources of production of sedimentary material. By means of imagening of the deeps reservoir, it was noticed the occurrance of silting in several points in river Passaúnas old main canal and in the foz of the tributaries. The urbanistic conditions in the year of 1991, compared to the year of 2002 indicates that it had degenerated for more critical situations, related with the type use and occupation, over all by the intensification of urbanization areas, and deficit conditions of infrastructure of the urban sanitation. The results let the characterization of the silting, to identify sourse-areas and to indicate procedures to reduce the problems, aiming at reducing the erosive process of the hidrografic basin and the reservoirs silting.
