She is a geographer specializing in tourism. She is a professor of tourism and social development at the Département d’études en loisir, culture et tourisme at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). She holds a master’s degree and a PhD in geographic sciences from Université Laval. Her master’s studies focused on the value(s) of sustainable development in Quebec’s national parks. Her thesis his titled “Innovation dans le tourisme en milieu naturel” (2022) (Nature-based tourism innovation). Her main research interests relate to tourism and sustainable development, natural heritage and tourism in protected areas and natural environments, tourism in mountain areas and to the concepts of innovation and authenticity applied to tourism.
