O Banco Central brasileiro e a “República do Real”: as bases da hegemonia das finanças nacionais

Desde 1994, o sucesso no combate à inflação anda em paralelo com juros altos e baixo crescimento econômico, com seus efeitos deletérios no mercado de trabalho. Este artigo apresenta como hipótese principal a compreensão de que essa dinâmica aparece na realidade econômica brasileira como formalização de um modelo tendencialmente contracionista. Seu principal operador é o Banco Central brasileiro, consolidando um bloco no poder com cerne na hegemonia das finanças nacionais. Assim, a “República do Real”, conceito que elabora a totalidade do período, tem no Banco Central seu maestro e norteador.
