Reforms in the Brazilian pension system: great amount of political capital investment, poor results and the unsolved challenges

Pension reforms are controversial no matter where in the world. This paper contributes to the analysis of the current Brazilian pension system and suggests some ways to move forward, taking into account the political difficulties of the process.
